
Staff Attorney

BancFirst has an opening for a full-time position in the Office of the General Counsel as an In-House Staff Attorney. Salary is based on the applicant’s level of experience, with a competitive benefit package available. Participation in the BancFirst Employee Stock Ownership Plan and 401(k) Plan is also available after 3 months of employment. Parking is available at reasonable rates. This position will be located in the Bank’s downtown Oklahoma City location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Providing support and assistance of Bank management and personnel at all levels in response to issues and matters presented by Bank customers and Bank personnel involving depository, lending, real estate, trust and estate, and litigation issues.
Tracking pending legislation, regulations, and judicial decisions at the state and federal level affecting the banking industry.

REQUIREMENTS
1 – 5 years of experience in banking and commercial law.
Experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts, review of corporate records and organizational documents, the review and creation of documents involved in trust and estate matters, and real estate law.
Applicants must have received a Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school, and be in good standing with the Oklahoma Bar Association.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Litigation experience is desirable

Ability to operate a computer keyboard, use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk, see or hear
Intermittently standing, stooping, bending at the waist, walking, kneeling or crouching

Long periods of typing and repetitive motion
Ability to lift and/or move and carry 10 pounds
