City of New York See More Job Openings by This EmployerThe Contracts and Real Estate Division of the New York City Law Department seeks applications from experienced attorneys to provide counseling to City agencies on the processes that govern City transactions, such as procurements and real estate transactions; to work on special projects, mainly as primary counsel on complex transactions; and to review City transactional documents. Recent projects have included advising on the City’s East Side Coastal Resiliency Project, advising on the City’s procurement of energy and energy related products and the negotiation and drafting of Project Labor Agreements.

Applicants must be admitted and in good standing in New York State and must have substantial legal experience following graduation from an ABA accredited law school. Ideal applicants should demonstrate substantial transactional experience, strong legal writing and analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills and excellent judgment.
