Positions in this function provide legal advice and services on issues concerning the rights, obligations, and privileges of the organization. Protect the organization's rights in contract negotiations, settlements and litigation. Provides a full range of legal advice and services and may specialize in or support one of more areas of law: insurance, health, government programs, commercial, information technology, contracts, benefit, litigation, \ regulatory and compliance.
Qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school and a current license to practice law in at least one United States jurisdiction, plus 5 or more years of work experience beyond J.D. degree
- Ability to secure Wisconsin attorney licensure within twelve (12) months of hire
- Experience representing managed care or health insurance clients or practicing in related areas of specialty required
- Regulatory compliance, insurance law, insurance operations and/or general health law experience preferred
- Contract and negotiation experience preferred
- Litigation experience preferred, including subrogation.
- Knowledge of ERISA and HIPAA preferred
- Experience building and maintaining a rapport with internal clients and external business partners
License or Certifications:

This position is a Hub role, which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the designated office – Minnetonka, MN or Madison, WI – for applicable heads-up work. Frequency is determined by business needs as decided by leadership.
The full salary range for this position is $124,600 - $213,600. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary.
