About You
The Auto Injury Claims Adjuster investigates, evaluates, and resolves auto and general liability claims made against members of the TASB Risk Management Fund. The Auto Injury Claims Adjuster is responsible for an assigned inventory of claims from routine to moderately complex. The assigned inventory consists of first- and third-party property damage and bodily injury claims
A Typical Day
- Provide high quality customer service to members, claimants, and attorneys through prompt and thorough communication throughout the claims process
- Investigate, analyze, evaluate, and resolve property damage claims and third-party bodily injury claims, from initial contact through final resolution
- Collaborate with peers and claim leadership on fair, effective, and prompt claim resolution

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Negotiates settlements of third-party bodily injury and property damage claims with claimants, attorneys, and insurance carriers.
- Acts as a resource for other adjusters on the team especially those with less tenure, experience, or knowledge.
- Ensure that all claims are handled in accordance with Best Practices Guidelines and in accordance with established reserve, payment, and settlement authorities.
Skills for Success
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Texas Adjuster's license applicable to primary area of responsibility required.
- Minimum of two years' experience in an insurance or risk management related field preferred. Similar professional work history may be considered.
- At least one year of experience handling third-party injury claims is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Commitment to customer-centric approach.
- Professional insurance related designation (CPCU, ARM, CLU, etc.) is a plus.
