We're looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Part-Time Paralegal to join our office and help protect the company's interests in our contracts and agreements.
The Paralegal will support our business operations by reviewing, redlining and managing client contracts - including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Security Agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
This position requires a strong understanding of business and technology contracts, attention to detail and the ability to assess and communicate risk efficiently.
You'll collaborate closely with leadership and project managers to ensure Red Pepper Software's contracts are accurate, compliant and aligned with company policy.
Key Responsibilities- Review, redline and edit contracts, including MSAs, DPAs, SLAs, and other commercial agreements.
- Identify and assess risk exposure from client redlines or proposed edits.
- Recommend contract changes or negotiation positions that protect company interests.
- Ensure contracts meet compliance, confidentiality and security requirements.
- Deliver contract reviews within a 24-hour turnaround when needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Ops, Leadership) to align on negotiation strategy.
- Maintain organized, up-to-date records of all agreements.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business, or related field (Paralegal certification preferred).
- 2+ years of experience reviewing and redlining business contracts.
- Familiarity with MSAs, DPAs, SLAs, NDAs and security or compliance clauses.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SaaS or technology contracts.
- Strong understanding of data privacy and security provisions.
- Comfortable evaluating legal and business risk independently.
