
Assistant Attorney General - Special Prosecutions section
State of Ohio See More Job Openings by This EmployerThe Office of the Ohio Attorney General is currently seeking an experienced trial attorney to serve as Assistant Attorney General within our Special Prosecutions Section. Attorneys in this section are appointed as Special Prosecutors by county prosecutors and prosecute serious felony crimes throughout Ohio. This position will handle a general docket; involving a broad variety of felonies including homicides, white collar crime, public corruption, drug offenses, and sexual assault.
The successful candidate will have significant jury trial and prosecutorial experience; as well as experience working with investigators, victims and witnesses; presenting cases to grand jury; trial; and appeal. The position requires a high level of organizational skills, the ability to triage and prioritize multiple assignments; as well as the ability to work collaboratively with coworkers, law enforcement, and professional witnesses.
This will work a hybrid in-person/remote schedule. There may be in person requirements for training and operational needs. The headquarter location is either our Columbus or Cleveland, Ohio office.
Salary- Commensurate with experience
Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio pursuant to Section 4705.01 of the Ohio Revised Code
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years' work experience as an attorney with extensive trial experience.
