
- Job Description
The City of Springfield is hiring a full-time Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. Primary duties include performing professional legal work in preparing and prosecuting cases. The successful candidate is expected to be able to prepare cases from initial filing through trial and appeal, possessing the ability to communicate effectively with court personnel, staff, law enforcement, witnesses, and public officials.

- Qualifications
The Assistant Prosecuting Attorney must be able to be present in the office during normal work hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and routinely travel to and from court.
Other minimum requirements include:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Juris Doctorate Admission to Ohio Bar pursuant to Section 4705.01 of the Ohio Revised Code.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Applicants should be interested in criminal law and have a firm grasp of legal research and writing.
- Time-management skills.
- Willingness to participate in trials.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public, court personnel, law enforcement, witnesses, and public officials.
