Job Duties
- Work with experienced attorneys and paralegals as you learn our processes
- Handle all aspects of the Probate and Trust Administration process including, but not limited to, meeting with our families to explain the administration process, reviewing all legal documents required to settle an estate, reviewing the work performed during the asset liquidation process, and handling follow-up phone calls with clients as needed.
- Work diligently to ensure that our client’s wishes are fulfilled during the administration process
- Manage your own caseload and travel to our satellite offices, as needed. Position is based out of our Grand Rapids office, but travel to Holland, Norton Shores, and Portage may be required.
- Counsel executors and beneficiaries on the benefits of creating their own estate plan
- Attend educational seminars on the Probate and Trust Administration process put on by our Probate & Trust Administration Paralegals to answer any client questions
- Ensure compliance with rules of professional conduct
- Minimal court contested matters
