Role Overview
The Consumer Protection Group is a growing team at Singleton Schreiber. The Group was established just over a year ago and aims to bring high-impact, mission-oriented cases that protect consumers from unfair and predatory financial practices. The Group’s cases are primarily class action lawsuits or representative actions on behalf of consumer advocacy organizations or non-profits. The Group is located in Washington, D.C., and files cases across the country in state and federal courts.
The Group is seeking an experienced litigator to add to the team. The Counsel role is an exciting opportunity to join a relatively new group, that is small in size but powerful in reach. As Counsel, you will help continue to develop the Group’s docket and vision for the future. You will play a significant role in litigation, from drafting pleadings and motions, to taking depositions and participating in discovery, and handling oral arguments. Additionally, as Counsel, you will help identify and develop new cases for the Group to investigate.
Significant litigation experience is required for this role. At least some class action experience is strongly preferred. Experience with state or federal consumer protection laws is preferred but not required.
This is a hybrid position, and ideally candidates should have flexibility to come into the Firm’s D.C. office 2-3 times per week.
Please submit resume, cover letter and writing sample with your application.
