Job Summary & Objectives
The Assistant, Partner Development is responsible for providing administrative and office support functions to the Director, Partner Development & Administration by maintaining records and files; processing reimbursements and invoices; and liaising with various departments. The Assistant, Partner Development will also assist with new partner orientation and celebrations, the performance review process, and the year-end compensation process.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain updated office files, databases, confidential records, forms or other related information for the department verifying data for accuracy and completeness; other general administrative duties.
Provide administrative support for partner requests including but not limited to employment verification requests, LOAs, etc.
Assist with processing Chrome River expenses for reimbursement, including but not limited to bar association membership dues, health club membership invoices, practice group dinners, etc.
Maintain and audit tracking documents for expenses to ensure requests are within the confines of the policy and ensure reimbursements are being properly disbursed in accordance with the policy.
Assist with annual review and performance process for partners semi-annually.
Send life event gifts to lawyers for births, weddings and condolences.
Provide broader Legal Talent team with assistance during peak periods, including our new partner orientation and partner elevation celebrations at year-end.
Assist with the year-end compensation process; liaising with Payroll and the Workday Support Group to audit for accuracy, salary and bonus payouts; assist with communications to partners and group/office heads, as well as supporting the Partner Development Committee as needed.
Assist with regular reporting requirements to support the Legal Talent team, as needed.
Assist Legal Talent administrative function seasonally, as needed.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Education
High School diploma or GED equivalent required
Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Skills and Experience
At least 2 years of relevant, equivalent experience
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; familiarity with MS Outlook Suite
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task projects in a high pressure environment
Client-focused with the ability to provide customer service in a professional manner
Ability to use confidentiality and discretion in relaying information
Salary Information
NY Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $75,000 at the time of posting.
The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is non-exempt meaning it is overtime pay eligible.
