About the Role & Team
IDC is seeking a Director, Product Owner, Finance, HR & Legal Systems to join our IT Enterprise Applications team. In this pivotal role, you will drive the technology strategy, roadmap, and delivery of systems and tools that power our finance and procurement functions.
You will lead a high-performing team of IT professionals—including business analysts, developers, project managers, and application support analysts—ensuring technology solutions align seamlessly with business goals across Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), HR, and Legal domains.
As part of IDG’s broader digital transformation, you will spearhead the Global ERP (Microsoft D365) implementation and related business process reengineering. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, hands-on execution, and the ability to translate complex business needs into scalable, technology-driven solutions that elevate operational efficiency across the enterprise.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of Business Analysts, Application Developers, Project Managers, and Application Support specialists, fostering collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and optimization of the Global ERP (Microsoft D365) platform and the broader finance technology ecosystem to ensure integration and cross-functional alignment.
- Assess current technology capabilities across Finance, HR, and Legal, and define the long-term system strategy and roadmap that supports IDG’s growth and transformation goals.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define, prioritize, and translate business objectives into actionable product requirements and development roadmaps.
- Drive process improvement and automation to streamline financial operations, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for finance and procurement systems, providing guidance and best practices to both technical and business teams.
- Partner cross-functionally with leadership, project managers, and system implementers to mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Champion continuous improvement, leveraging emerging technologies and analytics to evolve finance system capabilities and drive business outcomes.
What You Bring
- 8+ years of ERP experience, with 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (or 8–10 years managing large-scale ERP implementations).
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar leadership role, ideally with exposure to finance or related business functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline—or equivalent experience.
- Deep understanding of core finance processes, including Order Management, Billing, Collections, Revenue Management, Procurement, Expenses, Payables, General Accounting, and Financial Reporting.
- Demonstrated experience translating business architecture and process design into clear system requirements and technical specifications.
- Proven experience managing teams of 5–8 IT professionals, including analysts, developers, and project managers.
- Strong grasp of SDLC, DevOps, and technology delivery methods for SaaS-based business applications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Certifications: PMI/PMP and/or Agile/Scrum certifications strongly preferred.
- Analytical mindset with a passion for problem-solving, optimization, and continuous improvement.

The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $168,000–$216,000, inclusive of base salary and variable compensation.
