Proskauer is seeking a Senior Legal Project Manager (“Senior LPM”), based in the US. The Senior LPM will work with the Legal Project Management team to support lawyers in managing the Firm’s business and clients through early-stage matter engagement and budgeting, on-going matter lifecycle support, and reporting/monitoring to help promote increased profitability and scalability.

The Senior LPM will work closely with professionals across the Firm’s Business Services teams to support the continued development of the Firm’s legal operations strategic objectives, working to equip our lawyers with the information, tools, and resources to deliver key data insights and value-driven solutions. This role will report to the Associate Director of Legal Project Management. 



Responsibilities
  • Serve as an expert in scoping and developing budgets across multiple practice areas within the Firm.
  • Manage high-profile, large-scale matter management and budget monitoring projects for client engagements.
  • Support the Legal Project Management function’s objectives by leveraging tools such as Iridium, Clocktimizer, Aderant, HighQ, Smartsheet, Foundation, Preqin, Bloomberg, SSRS reports, Excel, and other data analysis/reporting tools to extract, analyze, and present data.
  • Ensure internal and external clients receive timely, accurate, and professionally polished budgets and progress reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of client-facing reports, marketing materials, and presentation materials.
  • Identify issues or opportunities, proactively raise them with the appropriate team member, track them through resolution, and document lessons learned.
  • Gain proficiency in the Firm’s systems and data, applying financial concepts, problem-solving skills, and a strong client service orientation to leverage these resources for the benefit of the Legal Project Management department and attorneys.
  • Partner with Pricing, Financial Planning & Analysis, Client Operations, and other Business Services teams to provide project support and contribute to process improvement throughout the matter lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Knowledge Management, Practice Management, and Information Services to support practice innovation initiatives.
  • Train, coach, and mentor junior team members by providing hands-on guidance in Legal Project Management best practices, fostering professional growth, and ensuring they meet the Firm’s high standards for client service and operational excellence.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.
  • JD and/or law practice experience preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in a professional work environment required.
  • PMP or Prince 2 Certification preferred.
  • Previous experience with data analysis and reporting tools (Tableau, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, SSRS, Power BI is a plus).
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized and a team player.


This position will require physical presence in Proskauer’s offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require). The anticipated compensation range for this position is $170,000-$220,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
