Job Description

In order to maximize the quality and impact that Arizona’s Judicial Branch has on the communities it serves, the Arizona Supreme Court has demonstrated a commitment to providing its employees the highest quality education and training programs possible. The Education Services Division serves as the primary coordinating unit to service this need, including for judicial officers, court staff, and probation officers throughout the state. By utilizing cutting-edge adult education theory and practice, and through a variety of educational modalities (e.g. in-person sessions, webinars, computer-based trainings, live broadcasts, etc), the Division directly provides and indirectly supports the education and training requirements for a broad audience with diverse needs.

This position will work within the Leadership and Workforce Unit and the Judicial Programs Unit of the Division, whose primary purpose is the training and education of judges and court staff, as well as leadership development programs. Specifically, this position will provide support for leadership, workforce development, and judicial education programs. Under supervision, this position performs the full range of duties required in the operational support of leadership, workforce development and judicial education programs which may include planning program logistics, generating reports, registering, and tracking program participants, maintaining curriculum records, processing travel claims, and purchasing. This position exercises the communication skills and independence of judgement, often under time constraints, required to effectively support leadership, workforce development and judicial education programs.

Qualifications

Training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in social science, justice studies, business or similar field with related experience. The position also requires knowledge of project management and organizational skills, handling multiple simultaneous projects, accuracy and detail, and advanced level skill using Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat. The position must communicate effectively with internal and external customer of the Division, including members of the judiciary, faculty, participants, vendors, and venue property management.

Travel level: up to 10% in-state.
