About the Role Shamrock Trading Corporation is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join our Legal department. You’ll lead high-impact commercial contracts and guide the business through a variety of engaging legal matters. You’ll work closely with senior leaders across the organization, influence key decisions, and shape the company’s legal strategy in a dynamic, collaborative environment. If you’re a proactive, business-minded attorney who thrives on variety and meaningful responsibility, this position gives you the platform to make a real impact. What You’ll Do Draft, review, negotiate and manage a wide variety of commercial contracts with the company’s clients, suppliers, strategic partners and vendors. Proactively manage all aspects of civil litigation, including commercial disputes, employment issues, and regulatory inquiries. Work closely with business partners in Sales, Operations, Marketing, IT, and other organizations within Shamrock to successfully close transactions and address issues in a manner consistent with company’s best interests. Provide other legal services and advice to the company as needed What You’ll Bring Graduate of an accredited American law school and currently licensed to practice law in Kansas Between 3-5 years of relevant experience as a commercial transactions attorney in private practice, in-house, or a mix of both. Experience with transportation law is preferred but not required. Experience with employment law and workplace investigations preferred but not required. Experience with any of the following matters is a plus: secured transactions, bankruptcy, collections, real estate, estate planning, corporate governance, intellectual property and managing litigation matters. Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position, as described above and as modified from time to time based on Shamrock’s diverse and evolving needs. Exceptional written and verbal communications skills. Excellent judgment and sound decision-making in a fast-paced environment. Ability to interface professionally and effectively with all levels of personnel internally and externally, up to and including senior executives and other key personnel. Ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively as a team player. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities with a “can do” attitude and collegial tone. Proactive, organized, self-motivated and self-disciplined work ethic, with the ability to re-prioritize in “real time” when faced with competing pressures and demands on time. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, emerging company environment.
