LEGAL BILLING SPECIALIST
If you are looking to play a critical role in a professional organization with a focus on quality, this role may be for you! Foulston is looking for a teammate to help support attorneys in our Wichita office as a Legal Billing Specialist. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, detail-focused, and passionate about learning and achieving excellence.
Responsibilities include:
- Review complex client agreements to obtain billing information and verify records are accurate
- Work independently to prepare and process billing drafts in accordance with firm guidelines
- Revise billing as directed by billing attorney
- Finalize billing invoices and in some cases, process electronic invoices through external online systems
- Assist with identifying issues and work to address rejections/reductions as they arise
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and effectively with all parties
- Support evolving department needs by performing additional tasks as needed
Qualifications include:
- Aptitude to be detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Strong technical foundation with a demonstrated capacity to learn new software rapidly
- Ability to organize and correctly prioritize tasks
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
- Skill in collaborating effectively and fostering positive relationships
- Experience in conveying ideas clearly through spoken and written communication
- Billing or law firm experience is helpful but not required
This position is on-site Monday through Friday. Typical hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
