Job Description

About Harrison LLP:
Harrison LLP is a national law firm specializing in private wealth planning and preservation. The Firm’s services extend to the natural interplay between estate planning, business succession, matrimonial law, and related affinity practices. Founded in 2003, Harrison LLP focuses on providing sophisticated legal advice, exceptional client service, and innovative solutions.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Georgia-barred litigation attorney with 4–6+ years of substantive litigation experience to support a busy fiduciary litigation practice on a contract basis. This role requires a hands-on litigator who is skilled in managing core litigation responsibilities and working directly with clients who value strong communication and responsiveness.

Remote work or a hybrid work schedule is acceptable. However, availability is required for in-person client meetings, depositions, and court appearances in Georgia. There is potential for this contract role to transition into a full-time position.

What You Will Do:
  • Handle all phases of civil litigation, including:
    • Drafting pleadings, motions, and demand letters.
    • Managing written discovery.
    • Preparing cases for court.
  • Appear in court to argue motions and hearings.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Communicate directly with clients, providing clear guidance and regular updates.
  • Work collaboratively with the Firm’s fiduciary litigation team.
  • Manage matters independently while knowing when to escalate issues as appropriate.
What You Will Need:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Georgia Bar license and membership in good standing.
  • 4–6+ years of civil litigation experience.
  • Demonstrated experience handling discovery, drafting pleadings, and appearing in court.
  • Stellar client-facing skills; ability to work with clients who require a high level of communication, service, and support.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a remote work environment.
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, case management systems, and online legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Professional, collaborative, and collegial demeanor.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Experience with fiduciary litigation, including estates, trusts, wills, and/or guardianships.
  • Prior experience handling Georgia probate court matters.
Target Hourly Pay Rate Range: $100.00 - $170.00. Compensation decision will depend on a wide range of factors including but not limited to experience and training, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Harrison LLP is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.

Harrison LLP will not accept unsolicited resumes through or from search firms or staffing agencies for this role. All unsolicited resumes will be considered the property of Harrison LLP, and the Firm will not be obligated to pay a placement fee.

Salary
  • $100 - $170
