Robinhood is looking for an experienced corporate attorney to join our growing legal team. You will support a broad range of corporate legal matters including: corporate governance, SEC reporting and compliance, M&A and strategic transactions, capital markets transactions, global subsidiary management, executive compensation and equity administration, international expansion, treasury/tax related matters, and other general corporate matters.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly adaptable teammate to join a growing company and add to Robinhood’s mission to democratize finance for all. This role will report to the Director and Associate General Counsel, Corporate and M&A.
This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA, New York, NY, or Washington, DC offices, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do- Assist with global subsidiary governance, entity management, and expansion, including maintaining corporate records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and streamlining governance processes
- Assist with drafting and reviewing SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, Section 16 filings and registration statements and support the annual shareholder meeting process, including shareholder communications
- Support corporate governance matters, including preparing and reviewing meeting materials and drafting resolutions and minutes in connection with Board and committee meetings and annual shareholder meetings
- Support investor relations and the quarterly earnings process and help ensure Regulation FD compliance for all corporate communications
- Help with the ongoing administration of all equity plans/programs and internal corporate policies, including insider trading policy and Rule 10b5-1 trading plans
- Support all treasury and tax-related matters, including credit facilities, stock repurchase plans, tax structuring, and intercompany arrangements
- Drive continuous improvements, scalability, and operational excellence in corporate legal processes and execution
- J.D. from an ABA accredited law school (or foreign equivalent)
- Membership in at least 1 U.S. State Bar, with good standing
- 5+ years of broad corporate, securities and transactional experience at a major law firm and/or in house
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with strong attention to detail; excellent ability to communicate information effectively internally and externally and to drive cross-functional alignment and action
- An owner’s mentality with the ability to execute in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, juggle conflicting priorities to meet deadlines and adapt quickly to new surroundings
- Strong collaborator and teammate with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with other teams
- Experience with public technology and/or financial services companies

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.
Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

$179,000 - $210,000 USD

$157,000 - $185,000 USD

$139,000 - $164,000 USD
