What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Draft and Argue Complex Motions: Craft compelling arguments for motions and advocate for clients in court.
- Prepare for Litigation: Review databases to select exhibits, create deposition and trial outlines, and develop case strategies.
- Handle Casework: Draft and respond to correspondence, discovery, pleadings, and motions.
- Lead Proceedings: Take and defend depositions, represent clients in mediation, pretrial hearings, and trials.
- Collaborate and Mentor: Conduct client meetings, delegate work to paralegals and legal assistants, and guide their contributions to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Advocate for Clients: Resolve conflicts, recommend strategies, and negotiate effectively on behalf of clients.
What You Bring
To succeed in this position, you should have:
- Experience: 2+ years in commercial litigation, including taking depositions and appearing in court.
- Skills: Strong writing, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Credentials:
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership with the Georgia Bar.
- Mindset: A commitment to excellence, eagerness to learn, and a passion for litigation.
