Description:We are seeking a Manager, Legal Operations to join Mariana’s Legal organization, advancing personalized medicine and radiopharmaceuticals.
Illustrative Breadth of Responsibilities:· Manage contracts database and upload signed contracts into the contract management system;
· Run monthly reports to check for expiring agreements; contacting colleagues to determine renewals;
· Match invoices to agreements for payment;
· Contact outside parties, when applicable, to obtain agreements or information necessary for agreements (such as licenses, etc.);
· Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating day to day agreements including CDA’s, Statements of Work, and Master Service Agreements;
· Procurement support including ensuring payment schedules are in alignment with organization expectation, negotiate pricing where applicable, and supporting vendor qualification;
· Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations, including anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws. Support adherence to parent company compliance program, including KOL/HCP governance, Vendor Risk Management activities, aligning on use of parent company contracts;
· Be an effective and proactive business partner; advise and inform colleagues on the legal aspects of a situation, ensure proper communication of changes and enhancements in company policy, provide training and documentation of the process, and engage in a timely manner with key stakeholders;
· Support any new integration activities, including legal, ethics, risk and compliance, procurement, and science enablement, allowing for the organization to focus on scientific goals and managing stakeholder expectations to meet compliance, but allow for biotech nimbleness and agility.
Requirements/Skills:· Bachelor degree preferred
· 3 - 5+ years' relevant working experience
· Experience in the biotechnology industry preferred, including knowledge of drug development process and regulatory landscape
· Familiarity with contract drafting and negotiation skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
· Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills and attention to detail.
· Proficient with standard MS Office software applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
· Ability to work independently and with others
· Effective cross-disciplinary communication skills and eagerness to creatively engage all functional teams in the organization to fully understand complex issues and craft innovative and pragmatic solutions.
· Intellectual curiosity and drive to offer practical solutions to the team consisting of scientists, finance and legal representatives, etc. while ensuring the strength and enforceability of Mariana’s agreements.
· Demonstrated ability to handle a high workload and work successfully in a fast paced environment.
