About the Opportunity: McManimon, Scotland & Baumann, LLC is seeking a talented and motivated Paralegal to support attorneys in our Redevelopment Practice Group. The Paralegal would provide legal and administrative support for the Firm’s redevelopment practice, focusing on the management and maintenance of redevelopment agreements, escrow accounts, and related legal documentation. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with attorneys, clients, and government agencies to ensure compliance with legal and financial requirements. 


Key Responsibilities: Maintain organization of the Firm’s redevelopment agreements, ensuring all terms, conditions, and deadlines are properly documented and tracked; Prepare resolutions authorizing the agreements; Oversee and manage escrow accounts related to redevelopment projects, including tracking deposits, disbursements, and compliance with financial agreements; Conduct legal research on redevelopment laws, regulations, and municipal requirements; ensure all agreements and accounts comply with applicable legal standards; Prepare, organize, and maintain legal documents, contracts, and correspondence related to redevelopment projects; Serve as a liaison between attorneys, developers, municipal agencies, and financial institutions to facilitate smooth execution of agreements and transactions; Monitor key deadlines; payment schedules, and compliance associated with redevelopment projects.

Requirements
  • 3-5+ years’ experience as a paralegal 
  • Paralegal certificate or college degree in paralegal studies
  • Experience managing legal agreements, deadlines and escrow accounts preferred, but not required
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills (written and verbal) 
  • Ability to proofread documents 
  • Experience with NetDocs (or other document management system), Microsoft Office and Adobe PD


Salary Description
$75k - $95k annually
