FBC Mortgage is hiring a part-time Legal Intern, ideally based out of the downtown Orlando, FL office. This position requires approximately 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate will support the legal team by providing administrative assistance, managing legal documents, contract administration, and monitoring industry changes/regulations. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with the preparation and management of legal documents, including vendor contracts, mortgage and real estate documents, and other documentation.
Maintain and organize physical and electronic files, ensuring all documents are filed correctly and accessible.
Conduct legal research and compile data for review by attorneys.
Monitor and track regulatory changes affecting the mortgage industry and assist in updating internal policies and procedures.
Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Communicate with clients, external counsel, and other departments to gather information and provide updates on legal matters.
Perform general administrative duties, including answering phones, managing calendars, and processing mail.
