THE POSITION

We are seeking an entry-level IT Administrator to provide day-to-day technical support to employees both virtually and onsite. This role will focus on resolving helpdesk tickets, assisting with user onboarding/offboarding, and supporting hardware, software, and IT systems. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests (Tier 1 and some Tier 2), managing and resolving tickets through the helpdesk system (JIRA).
  • Provide support for desktops, laptops, printers, copiers, and other office equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware and software issues (Windows, Office 365, VDI, etc.).
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including laptop setup, software installation, account creation, and workstation configuration.
  • Provide end-user guidance and orientation on IT systems, tools, and security best practices.
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation, including knowledge base articles (Confluence).
  • Manage IT assets, including laptops, monitors, and peripherals, ensuring accurate tracking and lifecycle management.
  • Coordinate equipment recycling (e-cycle) and assist with upgrade/replacement cycles.
  • Proactively check in with employees to ensure technology is meeting their needs.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Environment (Office 365, Microsoft Office Suite, Windows 10, 11 Business)
  • Familiar with basic computer hardware, printers, applications
  • Some Helpdesk experience (6 - 12 months preferred but not required)

  • VDI & Virtual System Management
