Associate Attorney

Practice Area: Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits

Location: Nashville, TN 37203

Schedule: Onsite; full-time; typical billable hour requirements;

The Client: A Big Law Firm with Global Recognition for Inclusion and Work Culture is a premier global practice with a collegial, team-oriented culture. They are seeking to expand the Executive Compensation and Benefits Group in Nashville, TN with an exceptionally talented associate. Candidates should demonstraate strong academic background, with any distinctions or honors being highly preferred.


This opening is the result of continued practice growth and the strategic need to expand their transactional support capabilities with experienced professionals in the compensation and benefits space.


This position is a contributing role that comes with substantive training and hands-on opportunities to be part of a exceptionally successful, strong team with a long history. The role promises hands-on experience, mentorship from seasoned attorneys, and clear pathways for advancement.

Job Duties

  • Advise clients on the executive compensation and benefits aspects of corporate transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, and IPOs.
  • Structuring and negotiating deferred compensation arrangements,
  • Advising on ERISA compliance, and navigating complex retirement and health benefit plan regulations.


Required & Preferred Skills

  • 3–5 years of executive compensation and employee benefits experience
  • Transactional experience involving corporate deals preferred
  • Familiarity with deferred compensation, retirement plans, and health/welfare benefits
  • Excellent legal writing and drafting abilities
  • Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
  • Active Tennessee Bar membership or immediate eligibility
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Nashville area
  • Team-oriented and self-motivated with high attention to detail
