The Legal Office is looking for an Assistant Chief Legal Counsel who will...
- Supervise associate legal counsel to support OHFA’s multifamily housing programs and operations.
- Provide full range of legal advice & services to assigned agency offices.
- Draft opinions & provide interpretation of applicable statutes, regulations, policies & procedures & any legal requirements governing OHFA.
- Work with departments to draft documents (e.g., releases of restrictive covenants, legal agreements, loan documents).
- Provide advice on legal questions involving compliance with state government laws (e.g., Ohio Ethics Laws, Public Records Laws, Open Meeting Laws).
- Assist with the fulfillment & oversight of public records requests.
- Assist in the agency’s defense or prosecution in litigation.
- Provides guidance & support in the agency’s retention of records.
- Provide guidance & assistance in audits of the agency.
- Coach staff & provide performance feedback.
