
We are seeking an ambitious and deadline-driven professional to join our Legal Department as a Legal Administrative Assistant at our corporate headquarters in Downers Grove, IL. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of administrative tasks in support of the legal department. This position has significant project-based and process maintenance responsibilities specific to the transactions function. By primarily supporting various real estate transactions including closings of property sales and purchases, the goal of this position is to contribute to the operating efficiency of the legal department. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews legal documents and other materials as part of the due diligence process
- Assist in verifying accuracy and completeness of due diligence materials
- Participates in the closing process for all transactions including preparing and reviewing tenant estoppels
- Drafts and finalizes various transactions and closing documents based on agreed-upon forms including drafting and mail distribution of tenant notice letters
- Assists with various projects within Legal team and as needed.
Qualified Professionals Will Possess:
- 2+ years of prior professional administrative support experience as well as previous responsibility for preparing documents and assisting with real estate transactions.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook are required for this position.
- Intermediate skills in document management systems, redlining programs, matter management programs, and entity management tools is preferred.
