
Senior Counsel – Commercial & Transactional Attorney
Job Description
Strada seeks a high-performing commercial and transactional attorney to join a collaborative and energetic global legal team to support a rapidly transforming and dynamic business. In addition to strong legal skills, we are looking for someone with the leadership acumen and mature judgment to inspire confidence, build trust and successfully work with business leaders to balance short-term execution with long-term strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements working closely with our sales team and clients.
- Serve as a strategic business partner and trusted legal advisor to business leaders, help advance business initiatives and provide day-to-day practical, solution-oriented support, including for new product development.
- Develop, update and maintain form agreements.
- Collaborate with sales and sales support in the development of efficient commercial contracting processes.
- Develop knowledge and understanding of the technology and service solutions you support, monitoring relevant industry trends and practices that may affect Strada and its clients, including AI and machine learning.
- Make effective use of technology and automation in the practice of law, including contract management systems.
- Occasional travel may be required depending on assigned projects.
About You
- 5+ years of strong experience in the drafting and negotiation of complex contracts, excellent judgment, and ability to balance legal risks with business strategy.
- Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) or other technology-related commercial contracts is strongly desired.
- Ability to proactively provide actionable guidance and advice, and sound business-focused solutions that combine excellent judgment, strategic thinking, creativity, risk-taking and technical expertise.
- General understanding of data privacy laws.
- Learning agility, including a demonstrated willingness to develop expertise in new subject matter areas.
- Detail-oriented and ability to balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
- Track record of successful teamwork, strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
- Ability to effectively present and communicate information to senior leadership and various business colleagues to successfully impact decision-making.
- Experience negotiating agreements in international jurisdictions is a plus.

- Candidate must have Juris Doctor degree and be admitted to the bar in at least one US state.
