Responsibilities:
As business counsel primarily supporting FMC’s North America business as well as FMC Precision Agriculture, the attorney will partner with Company vice-presidents and other senior business clients to provide guidance on legal issues that impact the strategy or operations of the business. This role will report to the Associate General Counsel responsible for global commercial legal support.
Commercial Contracts: Drafting and advising on confidentiality, distributorship, sales agency, supply, licensing, consulting and other agreements.
Strategic Counseling: Supporting the North America and Precision Agriculture business on strategic initiatives, including joint development, product acquisition and other third party strategic arrangements.
Claims Management: Advising on product issues including product claims and customer complaints.
Compliance Counseling: Advising on compliance matters under applicable United States laws and regulations, including antitrust and regulatory matters.
Training: Assuming a lead role in training business teams to ensure legal compliance and ethics, adherence to contract guidelines and mitigation of risk generally.
With respect to intellectual property, litigation, environmental, privacy, employee and benefits and other specialized issues, this attorney will work with other members of the FMC Law Department.
Qualifications:
Bachelors’ Degree
Law Degree from an Accredited US Law School
Active Bar Membership – PA Preferred
5-8 years experience and a proven track record in a corporate law department or private law firm environment
Strong background in general commercial legal matters
Experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing industry a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Broad experience in drafting legal documentation
