Position Overview
Federal judicial court in Denver, Colorado seeks a qualified Legal Clerk to provide comprehensive witness management support. This full-time position supports federal criminal proceedings by managing fact witness coordination, travel arrangements, and administrative functions. This position requires full-time, in-office presence with no remote work authorized.
Key Responsibilities- Manage fact witness coordination for federal criminal cases
- Process witness travel vouchers and arrange travel accommodations according to Department of Justice policies
- Coordinate directly with witnesses to ensure court appearances for trials, pre-trial conferences, and grand jury proceedings
- Maintain witness files, databases, and documentation systems
- Prepare and submit witness reimbursement documentation
- Coordinate with Court, Probation, U.S. Marshals Service, and investigative agencies
- Provide courtroom orientation and support services to witnesses
- Compose correspondence related to witness management procedures
- Track hearings, trial dates, and scheduling conferences
Education: High school diploma required; undergraduate degree preferred

- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week (1,912 hours annually)

- Travel: Local travel within 50-mile radius may be required
- Security: Must meet Department of Justice residency requirements and pass background investigation
