Job Description

MetLife Legal Plans is currently hiring an Attorney Network Practice Leader for our growing Attorney Network & Panel Management department.

This individual can be located in our Cleveland, OH office or remote anywhere in the continental United States.

This individual will report directly into our Assistant Vice President Network & Claims Management.

A day in the life of an Attorney Network Practice Leader at MetLife Legal Plans:

The Attorney Network Practice Leader is responsible for quality assurance governance that allows us to monitor the services our network provides, identifies and implements improvements to minimize risk. The role is responsible for ensuring we have effective procedures, policies, and systems in place to deliver consistent standards.   This role is also responsible for overseeing governance (processes) around claim payments, developing a strategy managing standard fees, fee approvals, negotiated arrangements and conducting analysis on claims trends and market changes. The Attorney Network Practice Leader will drive the implementation of internal and external solutions to achieve provider satisfaction, cost targets, network growth, and efficiency targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with internal teams and network provides ensure “best in class” provider relationships
  • Recommend and develop network action plans to ensure network compliance
  • Assist with the monitoring of executed provider contracts to ensure consistency
  • Recommend training programs and educational materials for providers
  • Ensure network decisions are tied to NPS goals and financial metrics
  • Ensure proper network coverage by service and geographic location
  • Ensure proper vetting and onboarding process is in place for recruited network attorneys
  • Perform audits to ensure compliance
  • Research market trends related to claims costs, payments and claims
  • Conduct and gather feedback
  • Maintains diligence and consistency with our panel of network attorneys
  • Other duties as required or assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others at all levels
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving and communication skills
  • Forward-thinking with innovative solutions
  • Flexible and adaptable to an everchanging business 
  • Curiosity to research and provide suggestions on process improvement
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Teams, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
  • High level of confidentiality to handle sensitive/confidential situations and documentation
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to self-start, prioritize, and multi-task a high-volume workload

Travel

This position requires up to 5% travel.
