The United States Probation and Pretrial Services Office is currently accepting applications for a Procurement and Facilities Technician. This is a full-time position with a complete benefits package.
DutiesREPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
- Perform custodial officer duties as it pertains to the accounting and safeguarding of property (i.e., computers, equipment, furniture, etc.). Assist with annual internal audits.
- Assist with records management by filing, scanning, and maintaining documents.
- Tag furniture and other office equipment for the purpose of tracking inventory. Enter and update information on inventory items into automated databases.
- Move, set up, and examine furniture and equipment; report maintenance and repair problems to the procurement and facilities specialist.
- Organize overall storeroom area and maintain stock in a well-thought-out manner.
- Monitor supply levels in central storeroom. Maintain lists of supplies to be ordered. Issue and deliver materials and supplies to requesting offices.
- Assist procurement and facilities specialist with follow-up to vendors and customers, such as clarifying or expediting orders. Obtain quotes from vendors for supplies, furniture, and services.
- Assist with the management of space and facilities projects and audits; report maintenance, building issues, and repair problems to the General Services Administration (GSA).
- Escort movers, delivery staff, document shredding crew, and other vendors throughout the courthouses.
- Assist with coordination of maintenance of official government vehicles and other contracted services.
- Occasional travel to divisional offices.
- Other duties as assigned.
- $49,825 - $55,882/year
Incumbent must clear a Federal background investigation, and financial check.
Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent plus one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience consists of progressively responsible experience in or closely related to the position's work that has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the position's duties successfully.

Financial and background check outcomes must be favorable. Financial rating must be in good standing, devoid of late payments, bankruptcies and collections.
