Job Overview:
This position will provide support to two attorneys by performing a variety of legal tasks, including preparing and finalizing documents, calendaring, handling litigation filings, managing case
files and assisting with client communication. The position is non-exempt. We are flexible with a hybrid schedule after an initial period in the office. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, is well-organized, detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to handling their workload. Dependability and reliability are crucial for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing, finalizing, serving and filing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Maintain and organize case files, ensuring that all relevant documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
- Prepare and manage correspondence, including emails, letters, and other written communications to clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
- Assist in trial preparation.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases as needed.
- Calendar filing deadlines and court dates, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Perform other administrative duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years litigation experience as a Legal Secretary/Assistant. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research tools.
- Type 70 wpm.
- Strong understanding of state and federal court processes, including e-filing, court rules, forms, calendaring, pleadings, discovery procedures and trial preparation.
- Familiarity with legal terminology, processes, and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional writing and proofreading skills.
- Strong work ethic and takes ownership and pride in work.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with competitive compensation and benefits. The pay range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 annually based on experience. A successful candidate will be team-oriented, have the ability to communicate well and represent the firm in a professional manner, willingness to help with coverage and be dependable and
reliable.
