Job Summary:
We are seeking a 1–3-year Associate Attorney to join our Securities Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent research and writing skills, and an ability to handle a diverse caseload. The Associate Attorney will work closely with a Shareholder to represent clients in various legal matters, including securities litigation, regulatory issues as well as professional liability matters.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research on various issues and provide analysis and interpretation of statutes, regulations, and case law.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs as well as detailed client reports.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, and mediations.
- Interview clients, witnesses, and other relevant parties to gather information and evidence for cases.
- Collaborate with Shareholders and legal staff to develop case strategies and trial preparation.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the Alabama state bar association. Other state admissions a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in a litigation practice.
- Strong academic record (Top 25% of your graduating class) with excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, ethics, and client service.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and areas of law.
