Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000 annually. This role will also be eligible for an annual discretionary variable incentive bonus. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors including but not limited to experience and training, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Summary Description: Harrison LLP, a national private wealth planning law firm, is seeking a technically skilled and security-focused IT Support Engineer to join the Firm’s IT team. This hybrid position blends Tier 2 service desk support with hands-on systems administration tasks, providing advanced troubleshooting, endpoint management, and collaboration with the Firm’s Systems Engineers to resolve complex issues.

Reports to: Service Desk Manager
Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 & 2 Technical support to onsite and remote offices.
- Serve as an escalation point for Tier 1 support, resolving advanced endpoint, application, and system issues.
- Assist System Engineers in administering and supporting Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including identity and access management, conditional access policy configuration, and security group management.
- Manage and troubleshoot devices through Microsoft Intune, including compliance policies, configuration profiles, and application deployment.
- Package and deploy software and updates to endpoints using Intune and related tools.
- Assist with Windows Autopilot setup for zero-touch provisioning.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of Windows 11, Microsoft 365 apps, and enterprise software.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineers on escalated tickets, infrastructure changes, and security-related initiatives.
- Support security posture by implementing and enforcing conditional access policies, MFA, and endpoint security measures.
- Maintain thorough documentation of configurations, troubleshooting steps, and solutions.
- Conduct research into technical issues and propose practical, secure solutions.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning, device configuration, and policy assignments.
- Contribute to the internal knowledge base by writing and updating technical SOPs.
Required Experience/Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in a service desk or field technician role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows OS and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Hands-on experience as a Microsoft Global Administrator (or advanced PIM roles) with:
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
- Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager)
- Windows Autopilot
- Conditional Access policy creation and management
- Experience with software packaging and deployment in an enterprise environment.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP).
- Security-minded with knowledge of MFA, endpoint hardening, and compliance policies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to document processes clearly.
- Strong research skills and a methodical approach to problem solving.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Certifications such as:
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- CompTIA Security+
- ITIL Foundation
- 2+ years’ experience as a Junior Systems Administrator.
- PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
- Experience in hybrid (on-prem + cloud) environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise ticketing systems like Jira.
Physical Activity/Working Conditions: The employee will be required to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer. Standard business hours with occasional after-hours work during major updates or incidents.
