Purpose
Aldridge Pite, LLP is currently looking for a Legal Assistant. The Legal Assistant will assist and provide a range of legal support and administration to lawyers and other legal professionals engaged in the firm’s practice of representing financial institutions in bankruptcy, foreclosure, residential real estate or mortgage law. A precise attention to detail, the ability to work under strict deadlines, and the capacity to prioritize multiple responsibilities are required for this position. Environment is faced paced with an emphasis on individual performance and team-oriented goals.
Specific Duties, Activities, Responsibilities
- Assisting attorneys in the representation of clients in judicial foreclosure proceedings including.
- Organize and track case files assigned.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings and motions for various stages of the judicial foreclosure process.
- Prepare correspondence.
- Proof legal forms and documents for accuracy.
- Communicate with clients verbally or via third party systems.
- Organize, analyze and cross-check/validate information.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing of work completed
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of (2) years as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal.
- Paralegal certificate a plus but not required.
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred.

- Thorough knowledge of legal principles, legal research techniques and legal terminology.
- In depth knowledge of government regulations.
- Relevant computer knowledge and experience.
