Position Overview:
SEG Solar is seeking an Associate-Level Contract Attorney to support our General Counsel, COO, CEO and sales team in managing and negotiating purchase agreements, long-term supply agreements, and other commercial contracts. This role requires a detail-oriented, business-minded attorney who can handle both complex negotiations and day-to-day legal tasks—including sending formal notices, default letters, FME, and similar communications.
SEG Solar is seeking an Associate-Level Contract Attorney to support our General Counsel, COO, CEO and sales team in managing and negotiating purchase agreements, long-term supply agreements, and other commercial contracts. This role requires a detail-oriented, business-minded attorney who can handle both complex negotiations and day-to-day legal tasks—including sending formal notices, default letters, FME, and similar communications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, long-term supply agreements, subcontracts, and service agreements.
• Provide clear, business-focused legal advice on contract terms, payment structures,
insurance, bonding, and compliance.
• Prepare and send formal notices, default letters, and other contractual communications.
• Support project teams with contract interpretation, enforcement, and compliance tracking.
• Resolve or assist in handling disputes, claims, and litigation matters.
• Ensure all contracts comply with federal, state, and local laws.
• Coordinate with external counsel on high-volume or complex matters.
• Maintain organized records of contract versions, amendments, approvals, and deadlines.
• Review NDAs, vendor agreements, and internal policies as needed.
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law in the State of Texas
• 3–5 years of experience in contract law, ideally with exposure to commercial transactions, supply agreements, and licensing
• Strong understanding of contract law, negotiation strategies, and risk management
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contract management tools
