Position Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Legal Assistant to support attorneys and legal staff in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on managing multiple priorities, maintaining accuracy, and contributing to a collaborative legal team. The Legal Assistant will play a key role in ensuring efficient case management and day-to-day administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and paralegals
- Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports
- Manage and maintain case files (electronic and physical)
- Coordinate calendars, schedule meetings, court dates, and deadlines
- File legal documents with courts (state and federal, including e-filing)
- Conduct basic legal research as needed
- Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional manner
- Track deadlines and ensure timely filings and responses
- Assist with billing, time entry, and expense tracking
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and court systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Experience with legal document management and e-filing systems
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Paralegal certificate or related education is a plus

$50,000 - $90,000 a year
