Role Summary:

We are looking for a motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team. In this role, you will be pivotal in managing and developing contracts with our college and university clients, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. You will also provide essential administrative support to our Principals, streamlining operations and fostering clear, effective communication across the organization. This position demands exceptional organizational and analytical skills, strong communication abilities, and a solid understanding of contract management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and Review Legal Documents: Assist in the preparation, review, and revision of legal documents, particularly contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Liaise with Stakeholders: Communicate effectively with Registry Principals, clients, and external parties to gather necessary information for contract drafting and ensure smooth coordination throughout the contract process.
  • Legal Research and Analysis: Monitor and analyze changes in higher education laws and regulations, providing proactive legal support and ensuring ongoing compliance.
  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to Principals and clients, including schedule management, meeting coordination, and handling of correspondence.
  • Document Management: Maintain, organize, and update departmental files, records, and databases to ensure easy access and compliance with record-keeping policies.
  • Meeting Coordination: Coordinate and facilitate meetings, including logistics planning, preparation of materials, and clear communication with participants.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for college/university clients, addressing inquiries and providing assistance in a timely and professional manner.
  • Data Management: Assist with data entry and maintain accuracy in client records and contract-related databases.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of contract management processes and tools aimed at increasing efficiency and streamlining workflow.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a paralegal
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation, with a focus on contract management and compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of conveying complex information clearly and effectively to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting quickly to shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding strong ethical standards in all aspects of legal work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines efficiently.
  • Customer service-oriented with a positive, professional demeanor and the ability to foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field.
  • Paralegal certification; Certified Paralegal.
  • Experience in Higher Education field. 
  • Experience with database management systems such as Dynamics and Salesforce.

  • $75,000 - $60,000/year
