
Educational and Capability Requirements
· Admission to Ohio Bar
· Knowledge of substantive and procedural law
· Strong legal research and writing skills

· Experience with white collar crime, economic crimes, and fraud cases
Experience Range\: 5 Years as a licensed attorney.

What You’ll Do:
· Assist SIU Special Prosecutors in presenting cases to Grand Juries, prepare Discovery, attend pretrial hearings, interview trial witnesses, and assist at jury trials.
· Conduct legal research regarding economic crimes and relevant sections of law, analyze audit findings, draft memorandum, review and modify findings for recovery
· Review of complaints from Fraud Hotline, respond to public records requests
· Provide legal advice on cases to SIU staff
· Review case files

The Auditor of State Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is comprised of Forensic Accountants, Investigators and Attorneys as a single source of expertise for investigating fraud in government. Their experience allows them to take a case from an initial complaint through conclusion.
Knowledge of law (substantive and procedural); computerized and manual legal research and legal writing; maintain high level of confidential & fiduciary relationship with clients & attorneys. Familiarity with office policies and procedures. Ability to read and interpret wide variety of legal and investment related information contained in books, manuals and journals; handle sensitive and confidential matters; exhibit interpersonal communication skills. Must be admitted to the Ohio bar.
