About the Role

The Manager of Legal Support is responsible for managing their teams that open all cases, receive all medical records and bills, balance verifications, conservatorships and arbitrations, and liens and bill reductions.  Outcomes are target based, and success is dependent on meeting KPIs.  The Manager of Legal Support must become a subject matter expert in Firm processes, systems, and understanding of the support role for each of these areas to be able to guide their team to success and meet their KPIs. Reporting to the Head of Legal Operations, the Manager of Legal Support is responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and development to the Legal Support Specialists. The Manager of Legal Support will partner with the Head of Paralegal Managers, training team, and business development, to continuously improve process and procedures without sacrificing team moral or culture.

  • Meet team goals of Big 3 KPIs monthly for opening cases, ordering records and bills, receiving balance verifications, conservatorships, and lien and bill reductions. 
  • Ensure individual team members are accurately prioritizing work, following up timely, and understanding their role to successfully meet goals. 
  • Ensure individual team development is mapped in conjunction with their role and career growth.
  • Strategic planning for departmental growth and efficiency.
  • Conduct weekly 1:1 with team members: Review Key Performance Indicators, employee growth and development.
  • Monitor the management of individual workloads through audits, deadline-driven reports, and other internal measurements. Handle hiring, termination, salary, reviews, and promotions. 
  • Support business initiatives as a thought partner.
  • Embody and lead with our 10 core values each day in all aspects of the business from the customer experience, client happiness, and efficiency of systems and processes.
  • Act as a liaison between your department and other departments within the firm.
  • Champion a culture of high performance, innovation, accountability, and daily excellence.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, training, and help Specialists to maintain the quality of work the department requires.
