Job Description

We are seeking a Paralegal (Records) to join our team of award-winning litigators in our Los Angeles office. A successful candidate would already have worked in a fast-paced defense firm focused on civil litigation matters, with an emphasis on personal injury law and will be ready to hit the ground running. This is a fully onsite position (5 days a week in office).

Responsibilities:
• Obtain and organize records
• Follow client guidelines to ensure use of appropriate record vendors (when applicable)
• Track and follow up on any outstanding records
• Keep attorneys and team informed of status of records and update the status in the appropriate log
• Act as backup Receptionist for lunch coverage and as needed
• Assist Paralegals, Attorneys, Legal Assistants and Receptionist with daily administrative tasks
• Assist with document management and file organization
• Assist with trial, mediation, and meeting support as necessary


Requirements:
• 1-3 years’ experience in civil litigation
• Preferred insurance defense and/or personal injury experience
• Enter billable time contemporaneously in Prolaw. Must meet 50 hour/ month billable requirement
• Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
• Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision
• Articulate, organized and a team player with excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• In office 5 days a week
• Professional appearance and demeanor


Compensation Package 
•    Hourly pay range of $30-$43/hour, depending on experience 
•    Overtime paid at 1.5× the regular hourly rate, as needed 
•    Paralegals are eligible for an annual bonus ranging from $250-$3,000 
•    Comprehensive benefits coverage offered, including plans available at zero employee cost (average annual employee contribution for health/vision/dental coverage is $700-$1,700) 
•    Employees benefit from a 401(k) program that includes a 100% match on the first 3% contributed and a 50% match on the following 4-5% 
•    Paid parental leave at base pay rate 
•    Employees receive a monthly technology reimbursement of $60
