About the Role:
This is a full-time, on-site position for an experienced Employment Attorney based in the Roseland, NJ office. Limited hybrid flexibility may be considered. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and a passion for counseling employers on compliance, workplace investigations, and risk mitigation strategies. This is a high-impact role with significant client interaction, offering meaningful responsibility and room for career autonomy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise employers on a wide range of workplace issues including discipline, termination, accommodations, and wage and hour compliance
- Draft and review employment-related documents such as handbooks, employment agreements, and workplace policies
- Represent clients before state and local administrative agencies
- Conduct internal workplace investigations and offer strategic, risk-averse legal advice
- Provide guidance on employment law compliance and preventative best practices
- Support litigation-prevention efforts through sound legal counseling and documentation
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the State of New Jersey
- 2 - 4 years of experience practicing employment law
- Proven experience advising employers and drafting employment-related documents
- Strong knowledge of federal and New Jersey employment laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical, communication, and legal writing skills
