Job Summary: ​Provide administrative support, organize and expedite workflow and perform a variety of simple analyses, and tracking information to support the tribal legal team. You will report to the Tribal Prosecutor/Public Defender.

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Primary Tasks:

  1. You will oversee work of other legal clerks, delegate, distribute, and oversees front desk operations.
  2. Criminal and juvenile legal forms within case management system.
  3. Maintain detailed records of court proceedings of the case, names of parties, substance of complaint, dates of hearings and trials, court and jury rulings, findings, and orders.
  4. Provide SME (Subject Matter Expertise) over Case Management Software and run and maintain reports.
  5. Train all staff on updates and new processes within Case Management software system.
  6. You will assist the Public Defender's Office in the collection and preparation of reports for grants and assist with budget reporting.
  7. Type correspondence, legal pleadings, legal documents, reports, agendas, and other documents.
  8. Intake all criminal, delinquent and felony files and enter information into office case management software, pull reports, criminal history for the department.
  9. Prepare special reports including gathering and summarizing confidential data.
  10. Input data into programs, excel spreadsheets and Odyssey Navigator Attorney Manager.
  11. Create form database for streamlining processes and office documents.
  12. Perform all other tasks as may be assigned.​

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or Paralegal Certificate
  • Security clearance for CJIS
  • Experienced in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, legal case management software and the Internet
  • Good organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
  • 5 years' experience as a legal secretary for a District Attorney or private attorney​

Qualifications
