Job Description

The Program Manager will manage all patient screening and referrals to the Medical-Legal Partnership (MLP), perform data collection and analysis, manage all referrals and cases, and develop, implement, and manage action plans to improve program performance. The Program Manager will work closely with the MLP Project Coordinator, will assign cases and projects as needed to the Project Coordinator. The Program Manager will identify performance improvement opportunities with the program and organization, assist with grant writing and reporting, and complete other projects as assigned.

Essential Job functions:

Manage all patient-client intake, screen for legal needs, and refer patients to appropriate legal partner through a secure portal using the Salesforce platform 

Create reports as requested by the Director, including reports demonstrating program performance and value of legal intervention 

Design and complete data collection and analysis 

Provide patients and team members with community resources as needed 

Train and mentor MLP interns, including law and social work students 

Create project timelines, identify milestones, and track program progress 

Think independently, organize, plan and make decisions 

Communicate effectively which includes verbal, nonverbal, as well as listening skills 

Consistently function as a role model and maintain positive interactions with all patients, colleagues, supervisors and team members

Employment Qualifications:

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field 

Preferred Education: Degree or training in social work, data analysis, and/or paralegal studies

Minimum Qualifications:

Years and Type of Required Experience: At least one year of experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data. Previous experience using a personal computer and software applications including the Internet, email, Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and graphics 

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Demonstrated enthusiasm, compassion, and dedication to working with low-income families to address social/legal needs. Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively with an interprofessional team of physicians, nurses, lawyers and social

workers. Excellent oral and written communication skills

Cultural Responsiveness: N/A

 

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Conversational Spanish-speaking skills. Experience with Salesforce platform and/or JusticeServer  

Working Conditions: General office environment.
