General Description: Conduct criminal background checks using LEADS system for and provide administrative support to the Assistant State's Attorneys assigned to Central Bond Court.
Working Environment: Work Hours: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday: 8:30 4:30. Saturday and Sunday: 6:00am 2:00pm. Off Wednesday and Thursday.
Physical Requirements:
Light Work: The position requires the ability to stand or walk frequently, often for extended periods. You may need to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds regularly, and occasionally heavier items. The job may also involve a significant amount of walking or standing relative to sedentary roles.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Access confidential information via the Illinois State Police LEADS database
- Proofread documents
- Supply state, federal and city RAP sheets
- Make copies
- File all necessary paperwork
- Maintain confidentiality of information and systems
- Interact with State's Attorney's Office employees
- Interact with partner agencies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- The candidate must have excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- The candidate must have the ability to multi-task and work in a high passed environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word applications required.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of LEADS system preferred.
- Typing speed of 50+wpm
