Devine Millimet is seeking a Family Law Paralegal to join our Litigation Practice Group located at our historic headquarters building in Manchester, New Hampshire. Devine Millimet is a full-service law firm with more than thirty practice groups, focused on serving regional business clients with high-quality personalized service. This position will work with a high-performing team of lawyers and other professionals to provide our clients – which include businesses, individuals, and non-profits – innovative counsel and representation in a wide range of matters.
- Three to Five years of Litigation Paralegal experience
- Experience with family/domestic law
- Ability to work with several attorneys on a variety of cases
- Strong organizational skills
- Microsoft Office - Word, Excel. Outlook
Responsibilities:
- Identify, collect, analyze, abstract, organize and maintain facts and documents in accordance with correct legal practice and procedure
- Prepare pleadings, draft interrogatories, and respond to requests to produce documents under the supervision of the assigned attorney
- Manage records and organize all discovery and trial data
- File pleadings, motions, documents with the court as directed by supervising attorney
- Summarize testimony and transcripts
- Obtain, analyze, and summarize medical records
- Assist in locating and preparing witnesses for trial; obtain and organize trial exhibits; and coordinate witnesses’ appearance at trial
- Develop and maintain a working relationship with clients both inside and outside the firm to obtain and clarify information needed to substantiate facts, identify documents, and otherwise support legal actions
- Complete other duties, specific to the practice area of law, as assigned
