Duties Serves as the Assistant Director of Nursing at a Federal Medical Center (FMC) or a designated Long-Term Care Facility for the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). Responsible for providing guidance and direction in nursing technical expertise for the staff nurses in the organization and administration of the nursing units. Responsible to the Director of Nursing for overseeing the nursing care given to patients in the Inpatient, Behavioral Health, Long-Term-Care, and Ambulatory Care units, in cooperation with the Nursing Supervisors as organizational components of the Nursing Department. Responsible for maintaining documentation for all personnel actions, both affirmative, and adverse actions, and drafting statements regarding the Nursing Department position in these matters at the request of the Director of Nursing. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis. Salary- $88,621 - $115,213/year
