Job Description

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, experienced, and in person Insurance Defense Paralegal to support our attorneys in all phases of litigation. This position requires a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can effectively manage multiple cases simultaneously, and is comfortable working across a variety of practice areas.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in case management, trial preparation, discovery, document review, and client communication. Candidates with significant litigation and trial experience and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a high-volume caseload from inception through trial.
  • Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, correspondence, subpoenas, and discovery responses.
  • Organize, review, and summarize medical records and other case-related documents.
  • Prepare detailed medical chronologies and case summaries.
  • Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial schedules.
  • Maintain case files and monitor deadlines to ensure compliance with court requirements.
  • Communicate with clients, experts, medical providers, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Assist attorneys during trial, including exhibit preparation, witness coordination, and courtroom support.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of paralegal experience, with a strong preference for insurance defense litigation.
  • Trial experience required.
  • Experience handling multiple active litigation matters simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules.
  • Medical chronology and medical record review experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and litigation/case management software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
