Job Description

**Candidate needs to be located in the Lake Mary, Florida area. Position will be hybrid after onsite training*** Position Summary The Paralegal/Commercial Closer is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of commercial and residential real estate transactions from contract through post-closing. This role serves as the central point of communication between lenders, borrowers, attorneys, title companies, escrow officers, vendors, and other transaction stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant closings. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in escrow, title, mortgage, or commercial real estate transactions. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously, and a commitment to exceptional customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Transaction & Closing Coordination Coordinate and facilitate commercial and residential real estate closings from loan approval through funding and post-closing. Develop and maintain detailed transaction checklists and closing timelines for each file. Prepare, review, and organize closing documents, escrow instructions, settlement statements, closing disclosures, and lender packages. Coordinate loan documentation and execution/signing appointments with all parties. Gather and submit lender-required closing items and supporting documentation. Ensure all contractual obligations and lender conditions are satisfied prior to funding and recording. Escrow & Title Responsibilities Review title commitments, exceptions, payoff statements, HOA/condo documents, estoppels, and required verifications. Work with title companies, attorneys, lenders, and third-party vendors to resolve title issues, curative matters, and outstanding conditions. Compile invoices, wiring instructions, and escrow funding requirements. Coordinate recording of documents and delivery of final title policies. Process final closing packages and distribute completed documents to lenders, attorneys, buyers, borrowers, and other parties. Communication & Customer Service Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers, lenders, attorneys, escrow officers, and vendors throughout the transaction process. Provide regular status updates and proactively communicate regarding closing conditions, deadlines, and outstanding items. Maintain professional and courteous communication via phone, email, and written correspondence. Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and business partners. Administrative & Post-Closing Support Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and transaction records within company systems. Perform post-closing activities including invoice processing, file balancing, preparation of markups and proformas, and delivery of final closing packages. Support department operations with administrative tasks, document management, filing, and special projects as assigned. Ensure compliance with company policies, lender requirements, and applicable real estate regulations. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in escrow, title, loan processing, or commercial real estate transactions preferred. Experience with commercial real estate transactions as paralegal or settlement agent strongly preferred. Knowledge of title, escrow and mortgage terminology, escrow procedures, title review, loan documentation, and closing processes. Experience working with title/escrow production systems such as ResWare, Qualia, or similar platforms preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Meticulous accuracy and attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple transactions simultaneously. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Effective written and verbal communication and professional demeanor and customer-focused attitude, with Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment, and the Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Quick learner with strong adaptability and initiative. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat. Advanced computer, typing, scanning, and internet research skills. Notary Public and/or Title Agent License preferred (where applicable).     Work Environment This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment including computers, phones, scanners, and copiers. The role may require prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. Schedule Full-time position, Monday through Friday. Additional hours may be required to meet closing deadlines.
