Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing general administrative support to the Human Resources function with a focus on the employee life cycle, employee engagement, and training. Additional responsibilities include assisting in employee engagement, wellness programs, and other special projects. 

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, conducting research, etc.
  • Assist in the development and coordination of supervisor training programs to ensure consistent policy administration.
  • Assist in researching, developing, and coordinating training programs for career development, including both hard and soft skills.
  • Gather content for the quarterly firm newsletter and collaborate with the marketing team for timely submission.
  • Manage the company-wide recognition program, Way-to-Go Awards.
  • Assist in conducting new hire check-ins and exit interviews.
  • Provide back-up support for on-cycle new hire orientations, prepare new hire packets, and onboard new employees into the HRIS.
  • Administration of the HR component of LAW, our internal learning academy system.
  • Facilitate off-cycle new hire orientations.
  • Onboard new employees into the employee system of record and internal learning management system in partnership with talent acquisition and training teams.
  • Maintain accurate electronic employee records and ensure proper document filing within the internal drive.
  • Support and coordinate company-sponsored events and annual celebrations, such as Employee Appreciation Day, holiday parties, and leadership luncheons.
  • Reconcile the monthly director of HR’s credit card statement.
  • Order monthly supplies for the HR department.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all HR matters and escalate concerns appropriately to HR leadership.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with employees, managers, and business partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations in day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Complete all required training applicable to this position.
  • Additional duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or human resources is required.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Superior communication skills for effective interaction across all firm tiers.
  • Driven to acquire new skills and evolve with the needs of the HR department and the firm.
