Job Title: Pre-Litigation Claims Adjuster

Position Type: Full Time
Reports to: Pre-Litigation Manager
General Description: The Pre-Litigation Claims Adjuster is responsible for managing complex first-party homeowners insurance claims, with an emphasis on written and verbal communications with our insureds, public adjusters, attorneys and PTI’s adjusters. This role serves as a critical liaison between the Claims and Legal Departments to facilitate resolution before litigation.
Essential Job Duties:
• Review, analyze, and compare damage estimates to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Draft, review, and revise correspondence related to coverage decisions and claims resolutions.
• Provide direct support to claims adjusters and supervisors
• Act as a Liaison between PTI’s Claims and Legal Departments to resolve claims efficiently before they escalate to litigation.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with homeowners, claims personnel, other internal support staff and management in a customer-focused approach.
• Perform additional duties or special projects as requested by management
Skills & Qualifications:
• Excellent organizational, decision-making making and communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
Requirements:
• 520/620 adjusters' license required
• Familiarity with Xactimate preferred but not required
• 3 years’ experience in homeowners' insurance claims
